Between September 26th and December 27th, the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art will be hosting
several exhibitions to mark the changing of the seasons.
One of the exhibits will feature the work of New Mexico-based artist Erika Wanenmacher, while
a joint project with Colorado University (CU) Art Museum will also be featured in the East and
Union Work galleries.
The exhibits are free to museum members between 17:30 and 18:30, with a public reception
taking place from 18:30 to 20:00.
Wanenmacher uses art to explore the conflict between nature and culture in New Mexico - a
region that is characterised by its relationship with the atomic bomb - using a variety of
different media.
The CU exhibition, In and Out of Time, tries to discover the various cultural, aesthetic and
social aspects of video as an art form, and the ways in which the medium has been used over the
years.
Those wishing to attend either exhibit can book into a Boulder hotel during their stay in the
city.
