Anyone visiting Boulder in November or December should consider checking out the Christkindl
Market in the nearby city of Denver.
One of the biggest traditional pre-Christmas markets in Colorado, it was inspired by 16th
century markets in Germany where artisans and craftspeople would set up stalls to provide food,
goods and entertainment before the holiday.
There are various German delicacies on display such as roasted nuts, smoked sausage, Bavarian
mustards, German beer and spiced wine, much of which is brought over from Europe especially.
Held at Skyline Park by the 16th Street Mall, Denver's Christkindl Market is now in its ninth
year and will once more be hosting vendors all the way from Germany itself.
As well as the food and drink , there will be hand-crafted gift items such as wooden
figurines, candles and ornaments.
Those wishing to visit the market and experience some traditional German Christmas cheer can
book into a Boulder hotel for convenient accommodation situated just a short distance from Denver.
