+he Colorado Chautauqua Association will be continuing its excellent silent film series in Boulder on November 19th.

From 7.30pm, Chautauqua Community House will be the location for a delicious meal in the dining hall - considered one of Boulder's finest restaurants - then a screening of the film Speedy.

The 1928 feature was the last silent film by Harold Lloyd, and is generally considered to be one of his best. It follows the tale of Lloyd's everyman hero, Harold 'Speedy' Swift, as he tried to save the last horse-drawn bus in New York City.

Those attending the film will receive a 15 per cent discount on their dinner. The event is a fine excuse to see the beautiful and historic Chautauqua Community House.

The Chautauqua, a National Historic Landmark, is a cultural retreat that provides a year-long programme of lectures, live musical performances and film screenings.

The building is on 26 acres of forest land which is leased from the city of Boulder. The Colorado Chautauqua was set up in 1898 and is the only Chautauqua west of the Mississippi River.
